  1. Portland is a beautiful city where I visited before boston to washington dc bus tours. These destination of this city is Forest Park which is located at NW 29 & Upshur to Newberry Road, Portland, OR 97210. We stayed with friends in Portland and they offered to take us on a forest walk. It sounded great and we had such a lovely day. We started at the fantastic market in the city and then caught the train up to the top of the hill and walked back down, going via the rose gardens on the way too. It was very relaxing and scenic, and not overly energetic.

    1. Juliana, I'm glad you had a wonderful time during your visit. You picked an awesome time of year to come out. I'm sure the roses were blooming in all their glory. Though Portland can be quite "happening", I, like you, enjoy a more quiet, more peaceful time. It is nice that the Portland area, perfect example a visit out to Leaning Star-Winery, has that to offer as well. I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit.
